Why Lancing Prep Worthing?
Our children flourish; they are able to achieve their potential in an enriching and very positive environment. Our broad and balanced curriculum is enriched with high quality creative and physical activities to provide a vibrant learning environment in which they thrive.
The children have space to work in, bright classrooms full of natural light, grass to run on and they are provided with a wide range of educational experiences which broaden their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
In May 2025, Lancing Prep Worthing was inspected under the Independent Schools Inspectorate’s (ISI) new framework, which came into effect from September 2023. Under framework 23, schools no longer receive a one-word judgement or grade; instead, pupil experience is scrutinised under four areas:
- Leadership and management
- Quality of education
- Pupils’ physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
- Pupils’ social and economic education and contribution to society

Pupils’ academic achievement is high
Our pupils’ academic achievement is high; they consistently gain places at their first choice of senior school, often gaining scholarship and other awards.
Attending Lancing Prep Worthing is an excellent pathway to joining Lancing College and many of our Year 8 leavers regularly do so. We do acknowledge that, for our parents, this is a choice and we engage actively with parents at an early stage to discuss the best options for each individual child in next step in their education.
Excellent opportunities outside the classroom
We encourage all our pupils to experience a wide range of enrichment activities, including music, drama, sport and community service.
We give our girls and boys every opportunity to pursue those interests, inside and outside the classroom, and celebrate with them their achievements and successes.

We offer outstanding pastoral care. Every child is known as an individual and every child is valued as a member of our family.
In our community we celebrate together, we eat a hot healthy ‘home-cooked’ lunch together, we play together and we learn together.
