OL Business Network Re-launch
It was a pleasure to be joined by so many members of The Lancing Society on Wednesday 22 April at the re-launch of our Business Network series.
Onto the evening where our panel was chaired by Neesha Gopal (Manor 1983–1985) and she was joined by Polly Graham (Field’s 2001–2006), and Alex Maxwell-Scott (Teme 2001–2006). They kicked off the evening by discussing numerous challenges and opportunities surrounding their various parts of the Built Environment and the industry more widely.
AI of course had its moment, with some strong cases for, but with the caution of not trusting the bots to do everything and remembering the skills that are still best done by Human.
It also felt there was a consensus across the panel and in the room more widely of making the most of being in an office learning form the great and the good around you and the habits and behaviours you can pick up osmosis style.
And what fantastic surroundings we had for the evening, hosted at the Cavalry and Guards Club on Piccadilly in their stunning Waterloo Room, we were very grateful to Alex Maxwell-Scott OL for getting us access.
Please do look out for our next Business Network in the Advent Term, we hope to see you there.
