Mrs Michelle Porter

After working for an engineering consultancy looking at coastal flood defences, Michelle had a career change into teaching, studying for her PGCE at Cambridge University in 2011–12.

Prior to joining Lancing in 2015, Michelle taught Physics in state schools in both Cambridgeshire and Sussex, and also held the role of Head of House, STEM coordinator and KS4 Coordinator.
She was recently Lancing's DofE Manager, running all three award levels and supervising expeditions to the South Downs and Brecon Beacons.

Michelle has also worked as a part-time ski representative for many years; she is a qualified ski instructor and regularly assists on Lancing College ski trips.
