A message from Hilary Dugdale
Dear Prospective Parents
I hope you have enjoyed a very happy Half Term break. As the following stories reflect, recent weeks at Lancing have been full and rich. Whilst our Fifth Form and Upper Sixth have got underway with the rigours of the public exam season, so a new cohort of Lower Sixth Formers have stepped into leadership positions as House Captains and Prefects and the Houses have started to ready themselves for the New Pupil events in the closing weeks of term.
Half term came in the wake of a glorious Founder’s Day where the sun shone brightly, our prize-winners were celebrated and the afternoon saw sporting prowess alongside live music from the pavilion roof. This came at the close of the Founder’s Arts Week with inspiring displays in Art, Photography and DT alongside concerts, dance displays and the junior play. Recent days have also seen the (closely-fought) final of the House Debating competition and the start of the current series of Head Master’s Lectures.
As full summer comes into play, and with the completion of the refurbishment of the swimming pool, an exciting set of projects for our sports facilities has been unveiled – and please read below for further details of this. Lancing is in lively good heart and investment in the future as well as celebration of the present is at the heart of our vision.
With all best wishes
Mrs Hilary Dugdale
