Sporting Highlights – Friday 5 June 2026

Tennis Report

Before Half Term, our U14 and U15 boys’ and girls’ teams competed in the Sussex County Championships, producing a series of strong performances. Both teams finished second in their round robin groups, narrowly losing to Bede’s, and progressed into the 3rd/4th place play-offs. The boys were edged out by Brighton College to finish 4th overall, while the girls secured an excellent win to take 3rd place. A standout performance came from Olivia M and Skye K, who pushed Bede’s top county pair all the way in a superb match, narrowly losing 4–3, 7–3.

In block fixtures, both boys’ and girls’ Senior 1st teams remain undefeated, with dominant victories over Worth, Brighton College, and Ardingly. The U14A boys lead the way with the highest overall win percentage, having also beaten Oathall and Steyning Grammar in league matches. We look forward to continuing this form against Eastbourne at the weekend.

Finally, congratulations to 17-year-old Logan B, who recently competed in the Men’s Open Lexus British Tour in Cromer, gaining valuable experience against national-level players.
