Lancing Equestrian Centre is delighted to announce that it has been named a finalist in the prestigious Riding School of the Year category at the 2026 Equestrian Business Awards.
Selected from thousands of nominations across the United Kingdom, the award recognises excellence in horse welfare, education, community engagement, customer experience and contribution to the equestrian industry.
Located on our campus, Lancing Equestrian has become far more than a riding school. Alongside delivering riding lessons for all ages and abilities, the centre provides educational programmes, work experience opportunities, volunteer placements and pathways into equestrian careers, helping young people develop confidence, responsibility and valuable life skills through their involvement with horses.
The centre works with a wide range of young people from the College and across the local area, supporting them in building resilience, improving wellbeing and achieving personal goals both in and out of the saddle.
This recognition celebrates not only our riding school, but also the opportunities we provide for young people. Horses have an amazing ability to help build confidence, communication skills, resilience and self-belief, and we are privileged to see those positive impacts every day.
As a British Horse Society Approved Riding School and 5-Star Licensed Centre, Lancing Equestrian is committed to maintaining the highest standards of horse welfare, education and safety. The Centre is also home to Sussex Horseball Club, where riders have progressed from grassroots participation to representing Great Britain on the international stage.
One of the things we are most passionate about is creating opportunities. We want young people to understand that equestrian sport can be accessible, educational and life-changing. Whether a student joins us for a riding lesson, work experience, volunteering or competitive pathway, we hope they leave with confidence, skills and memories that will stay with them for life.
The Equestrian Business Awards celebrate excellence across all sectors of the equestrian industry, recognising organisations that make a positive contribution to horses, riders and their communities.
Winners will be announced at the Equestrian Business Awards Gala in November 2026.
