On 16 June, Gibbs’ OLs from the past 23 years gathered in the Upper Quad to celebrate Matt Smith’s retirement as House Master at the end of this term. Over 60 people enjoyed high tea in the sunshine as they reunited with old friends and shared their favourite stories. Matt has played such a pivotal role in the lives of so many young people, and all of the returning OLs relished the opportunity to spend time with him and recognise his contribution to their life at Lancing. Luckily for the current and incoming pupils with a penchant for the Arts, Matt will be continuing as Director of Drama and Dance.
