OL Annual AGM and Summer Party 2026
Nearly 100 OLs gathered for the Club’s Annual AGM and Summer Party at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, enjoying an evening of friendship, celebration and reconnection.
This year’s event was particularly special, as it marked the first AGM and Summer Party for both Head Master Dr Scott Crawford and the incoming OL Chair, Simon Ellis (Sanderson’s, 1973–1978). It also provided a fitting opportunity to thank the outgoing Chair, Nigel Bennett (Olds, 1972–1977), for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the Club since 2021. His dedication, warmth and good humour have been greatly appreciated by the OL community,
It was wonderful to welcome so many familiar faces, alongside an especially strong turnout from 2025 Leavers. Hearing about their first year beyond Lancing was a reminder of the enduring strength of the OL network and the important role it continues to play in bringing generations together.
As always, the Royal Thames Yacht Club proved to be a superb venue, with its stunning views overlooking Hyde Park providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening.
