School Life & Pastoral

With some 600 pupils our vibrant school offers plenty of opportunity for fun, friendship and a strong sense of community where everyone has their place and is well known.

The Lancing ethos cultivates responsible, sociable and considerate young people, promoting confidence and self-reliance in a lively and enjoyable environment. All students rely on our House staff for support and guidance at any time; we aim to support students through their emotional and social development amongst a wealth of friends and peers and alongside supportive adults. Living together is enriching and rewarding for pupils of all ages and offers a plethora of opportunities for leadership, for new challenges and for fun.
