Drama is vibrant at our school. It is a rich learning experience for all our pupils; it builds self-confidence and public speaking skills. Many pupils audition for parts in our annual plays and musicals, they appear not just as actors on the stage but also assisting with front of house and backstage roles. There is literally something for everyone to get involved with, and they do!

Drama is studied within English lessons in Year 4 and above and pupils study topics such as film narrative, dramatic techniques employed in text. In Years 7 and 8, the Common Entrance and scholarship curricula are followed and pupils study selected Shakespeare plays, most recently Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth, along with novels that are commonly dramatised, such as Lord of Flies by William Golding.
