Netball is the main sport for girls in the Lent Term. There are over 10 teams, ranging from U14 up to the 1st VII, as well as recreational teams.

Netball has always been a popular sport here at Lancing, and the standard of netball played at the College continues to grow year by year. In the 2019 season our 1st VII were crowned champions at the annual FASTNET tournament at Seaford College.

Whether you play at a national level or have never played before, there will be a place for you at Lancing.

The Netball teams are coached by Ms Kelly Edwards (Assistant Director of Sport), supported by a fantastic team including: Karen Andrew (Director of Sport and Head of Academic PE); Siobhan Airey (teacher of PE); Rachel Hopkinson (Head of Biology); Pat Martyn-Smith (Head's House Matron and licensed umpire); Helen Robinson (Chemistry teacher); and undergraduate students on one year placements from UK universities.

As well as the competitive matches against Surrey, Kent and local Sussex schools, the College also organises inter-House Netball tournaments, which all girls can get involved in. This is the highlight of the year for many of the girls!
