Mr Nat Payne

Nat went to school in Richmond and studied in London. He gained a BA in English Literature from UCL before converting to Law and working as a solicitor at Travers Smith. 

Always passionate about literature and excited by the idea of teaching, he applied for a job at Lancing and was delighted to make the switch from law to education, subsequently gaining a PGCE from Buckingham.

As well as an English teacher, Nat is Housemaster of School House, where he lives with his wife, Hannah, and their daughter, Iris. An avid reader and music lover, his particular interests are cooking, opera, and chamber music.
