Sixth Form Entry Routes to Lancing

Lancing has a very popular and thriving Sixth Form where existing pupils welcome a strong group of new pupils each year. Our new pupils come from a wide variety of previous schools to make their experience of Lancing a success.

Sixth Form Entry INFORMATION

Entry into the Sixth Form is assessed by:
  • References from the current school
  • Academic interviews
  • Computerised Cognitive Ability Test
  • A written task
Main Sixth Form Entry Route /
Scholarship Applications (Year 11, UK Pupils Only)

Registration for the Main Sixth Form route of entry is due by mid-October of Year 11. Candidates will subsequently be invited to an assessment day at the College in November of Year 11. Pupils who apply through this route will receive the outcome of their applications in December of Year 11.

Please note, offers will be subject to pupils meeting the normal GCSE qualifications for Sixth Form entry (a minimum of five Grade 6s, which would usually include English and Mathematics). In some subjects a Grade 7 or above is mandatory, as outlined in our Sixth Form Choice course guide.

Later Applications (UK Pupils Only)

For anyone applying after the Main Sixth Form entry route in November of Year 11, places will be assessed on an individual basis according to availability. Places will be offered after individual assessments have been completed.

International Applications (Non-UK Based Pupils)

International applications can be received up to one year before the year of entry to Lancing College. Assessments will be arranged on an individual basis and can be sat at the College, or remotely. Places will be offered after individual assessments have been completed.
