Sporting Highlights – 2 February 2024

Just before the EXEAT we had success in both hockey and basketball.

With three boys' hockey teams out against King Edward’s Witley last Tuesday and Thursday, it was the U15As who secured the first win 3-2 and 1st XI team managed a convincing 5-2 win. The U15Bs battled hard to earn themselves a 0-0 draw and were unlucky not to take the win.

MVPs from the U15A were Bryn H, Alex G and Alex McG.

MVPs from the U15B were Will N and Jack B.

MVPs from the 1st XI were Joe F for his first 1st XI goal and Fin H.

In Basketball news, Lancing continues its winning ways, this time against a strong Michael Hall team. In a much closer match-up, both teams were trading baskets all the way up to the last minute. We managed to hold their nerve and win the game by a nail-biting 47-45.

This weekend we wish the best of luck to Nam S as she heads off to represent Sussex in the Senior badminton squad, and to Theo S-F who is representing Sussex at the South East Schools Inter-Counties Cross-Country at Ardingly Showground.

This weekend's fixtures (3 February 2024) include:-

  • The Football Club takes on Cranleigh here at the College from 2pm.
  • In Netball we have a full block out with Seniors at home starting at 1pm against Eastbourne and Christ’s Hospital, with our Junior fixtures all away.
  • In Hockey, we have a full block against Ardingly 1st and 14s at home, push back from 1pm.
