Commissioning of the School Prefects 2020
Congratulations to our Upper Sixth pupils who were commissioned as School Prefects during the first Service of the year. This is an important leadership role which involves representing the school in formal occasions or when welcoming prospectives families. It also essential in helping out with the running of the school, for example with queue management at meal times or being on the door for plays and concerts.
This year's School Prefects are:

We've just heard that Geanina S in the Lower Sixth has been awarded the Deputy Lord Lieutenant's Award for her role in the Police Cadets (Waltham Forest). This is a prestigious award given in recognition of her leadership qualities, intelligence and commitment.


Over lockdown the Fourth Form (current Fifth) completed their Religion, Philosophy and Ethics course with an extended independent study. The following pupils deserve special commendation, either for their particular quality of their achievement in assessed work or for their level of commitment and engagement with the issues involved. Or in many cases both together. They are:

Netball

Many congratulations to Isabel A, who was successful in the Under 16 Regional Netball Trial for CD Phoenix, based at East Grinstead. They also recognised her leadership qualities and have made her captain. Well done Isabel, we are very proud of you.


Golf

Charlie G has continued to shine on the golf course. He made the ballot playing in the South East Links Championships, held at Royal St George’s and Royal Cinque Ports. Charlie also won the West Hove Junior Club Championship last weekend, with a gross score of 69 (1 under par) and 68 (2 under par).
