Pupil Headliners November 2020

New Lower Sixth Peer Supporters
This term we welcomed a new batch of Peer Supporters – those in the Lower Sixth who completed their training just before Half Term. They join the 26 Peer Supporters in the Upper Sixth. The scheme is all about giving a helping hand through any difficulties their fellow students might be experiencing, in or out of school. It is a service run by pupils and for pupils.

This year’s newly appointed Peer Supporters are:
Max B, Charlie B, Samuel B, Grace B, Kitty C-H, Natalie C, Alex D, Oliver F, Chris G-W, Charina G, Verity L, Georgia M, Ben M-S, Shirin M, Alex N, Conrad P, Marianna P, Kitty P, Tallulah R, Sophia R, Geanina S, Tilly S, Alice S, Andy W, Claudia W and Paris Y.

Maths Problems of the Week ...

Congratulations to Kristy W who has won the prize for the most correct answers to the Senior Maths Problem of the Week for the first half of term. Congratulations also to Konstantin K and Dima V who were the runners up.

In the Sixth Form Problem of the Week the winner was Mridul S, who managed to solve every problem with some super work, and a very close runner up was Randa H.

Music News

There have been some notable performances from our musicians this week. Benjamin I-C performed Bach’s mighty Fantasia in G minor as the organ voluntary for Chapel and, later that day, Dom H showed faultless nerve to play the Last Post and Reveille for the Act of Remembrance. Well done to both.

Karting News
Congratulations to Jai L who competed in the third round of the National Karting Championships over Half Term, finishing 8th in both the pre-final and the final.
